Make a Wrap Bowl with Vallarie Cuttie

Vallarie Cuttie will teach how to make a Wrap bowl(click on PDF file to see photo) on May 14th at Mills Chapel Baptist Church from 10 - 2pm . The class is $ 15.00 per person and we will have a sign up sheet at the guild meeting March 28th.
Great gift idea!

Supplies needed:

Sturdy sewing machine with zig-zag capability, with your zig-zag foot ( you will use the widest zig-zag stitch)

Clothesline that is 3/16" cotton, this can be found at Walmart in the laundry section (iron, ironing boards)

For a large bowl you need a yard of fabric, 3/4 of a yard for a small to medium bowl or a hot pad.

Fabric glue stick (acid free) or tacky glue

Thread should be cotton and can match the fabric

Machine needles can be # 80 or 90, blue jeans needles work very good.  Bring an extra one.

It would be helpful to have your fabric strips already cut 1/2" to 3/4" wide, if you do the length of the fabric (42") then you are not stopping and starting as often.  You can use fat quarters or scraps on any length.

If you wrap fabric around the rope before class it saves time, and lets  you start the sewing process where the magic happens.
