Our guild continues to reach out to our community with compassion sewing and quilts.
Compassion Sewing 2023
Please continue to work on your compassion projects.  You may turn these in at the guild meetings.
Our main priorities for the rest of the year are:
  1. Meals on Wheels - So far we have collected 182 placemats.  We committed to 250 to MOW  by the beginning of December.  We are also accepting any lap quilts for MOW if you are interested in sewing these.
  2. Coweta Pregnancy Center - We are continuing to collect Baby quilts, burp cloths and bibs.  You may turn them in at the guild meetings once completed.  We have turned in to date 51-Baby Quilts / 17-Baby Bibs / 75-Burp Cloths.
  3. Vet Quilts - We are winding down the Vet Quilt program for this year. 19 quilts have been completed. For those that still have Vet quilt tops to be completed, please bring to the guild meetings once completed.
If you are able to quilt any of these projects prior to turning in, please do so.  Or, if you are willing to help quilt those turned in, please let Deb know.
Guild members have also turned in 65 breast pillows, 35 lap quilts, 8 fidget quilts and 5 Teddy Bears.
As always, thank you all for supporting our guild's community service activities. Your generosity is appreciated.

August 31st - Our members came together and assembled 42 Library Bags.  Everyone had a job to do and we kept the assembly line rolling. It was great fun!
Polly brought in 10 and Martha and Mandy took home some kits to finish.  We have 68 so far to give to Mills Chapel Church for the Christmas Sho
e Boxes.
Since then we have had more library bags come in bringing the total to 98.  Thank you all for your hard work!

June 29th was Santa’s Workshop!

We made
Log Cabin Santa ornaments that can be sold at the Christmas Market.
Use up your red and white fabric scraps and strips for these adorable ornaments.  There are three pattern options that are basically log cabin blocks. See Martha for more details.

March 30th was the first one. It was taught by our own, Andrea Thompson.  We had a great time learning and creating aprons.
