Wall Hanging

 Sandy's "Garden Party" wall hanging and supply list.  This is a fantastic project and easily customizable to suit your own taste and size.  Sandy is experienced and enthusiastic in the use of hexagons.

English Paper Piecing

Kris Townsend will teach the  English paper piecing method - a classic quilting technique with infinite design variation.  If you have the size paper foundations you want to use, bring them.  Otherwise, we will have a handful for you to practice with.   Bring your fabric, fabric scissors, needle, thread and enjoy!

Quilt size 38” X 35”

Fabric Needed:

2.5 yards of Muslin OR 1 yard of pre-quilted fabric

½ yard of matching solid fabric

Basket

1 Fat Quarter – fabric of choice

Flower Petals

5 Fat Quarters

(Or ¼ yard pieces)

Colors of choice

Stems

½ yard of green, but if you prefer you may use 3 to 5 fat quarters for variety of greens.

Other supplies needed:

Lite Steam-A-Seam                                     1 Baby Button

19 shirt buttons                                          1 medium button

 

Folded Hexagon Projects

Hot Pad – 9” diameter

One (1) 6” x WOF fabric for 6 surrounding hexagons (or six 6” circles or squares)

One (1) 6” x 6” fabric for center hexagon

Insul Bright or other batting – 3” x 28”

Top stitching thread

Scraps or buttons for centers

Star Pillow – 16” round pillow

Seven (7) 10” fabric squares (will be cut into hexagons) – for star hexagons

One (1) 7” x WOF fabric for background hexagons and half hexagons

One (1) 5” x WOF fabric for layered hexagons (if desired)

One (1) - 18” x 24” fabric for pillow back

One 16” round pillow form

Scrap batting

Fabric scraps or buttons for centers
