2013 - 2014 BLOCK OF THE MONTH
EQ7 Patterns available below

This year Block of the Month gives you a chance to use your creativity and your stash in creating a quilt that is all your own.  Sigrid Bush (770-253-7380) and Corinne Echols (770-927-1693) have chosen these blocks because they are varied and interesting, but still easy enough for any skill level.  They are available to help you with the directions or any other questions you may have.
  1. Two blocks (and directions) will be given out in each month: Oct, Nov (2013), Jan, Feb, Mar & Apr (2014); for a total of 12 blocks.
  2. The blocks and their directions will be available for viewing at each Guild meeting.  You can also download directions by clicking on the documents to the left.  [bom_1_2.pdf  = Blocks #1 & #2, blocks.pdf is for blocks 5 and 6)].
  3. All the blocks are "stars" and are 12" finished (12 1/2" unfinished)
  4. You can make your blocks as 'scrappy' or as 'unified' as you would like.  If you would like a consistent background, 3 yards is suggested.
  5. Towards the end of the project, Sigrid and Corinne will show various ways of setting and completing your quilt.  These are just suggestions and ideas!
  6. There will be a "Challenge" at the August meeting, where all finished quilt TOPS will be shared.  Everybody 'wins' and everybody will have a great time.
  7. EQ7 files are below for bringing into your EQ software. Blocks are drawn according to line drawings in patterns; fabric selections are not.  Have fun choosing your own fabrics!  Consult instructions at left on how to construct each block.
