Saturday Sewcial  October 4
Make your first Christmas Gift!
Mills Baptist Church  10-2

Due to an event sponsored by the church, we will meet on Oct. 4 this month for our Saturday Sewcial. Judy Crane will be showing us how to make a cosmetic bag (the zipper bag). This will make a great Christmas Gift! So bring your machine, supplies, and lunch for a fun day!

Supply list:
2 Fat Quarters (one for outside & for lining)
1 nine inch nylon zipper
interfacing for the lining pieces
fusible fleece for the outside of the bag
To save time, it would be good to cut the 4 pattern pieces and fuse the interfacing to the lining and fuse the fleece to the outside fabric.
Pattern can be found online at Deby  http//:so-sew-easy-.com
Click on Free Patterns then scroll down to "try these fun sewing projects. "  You can also get the pattern here Sew an Easy Cosmetics Bag. Her name is Deby Coles and she also has a tutorial in YouTube.

Thursday Sewing Group

Our Guild members have the opportunity to meet every Thursday for a "Thursday Sewcial" at Mills Chapel Baptist Church from 10:00-2:00. It is a great time to share ideas and socialize while working on projects. Stop in any time and don't forget to bring a lunch. The first Thursday of every month will be dedicated to working on our Compassion quilts.

Membership News

We now have 57 fantastic members of our guild!  There is a new roster uploaded for you to view, download, and print if you choose to.  The email links should all work so if you click on one, it should open in your email program and you can send a message without having to type in the address!

Thanks for your patience with me as I am getting adjusted to this new position.  Please take a look at the roster to check your information and email me with any corrections.
