Show and Tell from June 24, 2013 Meeting

June 24 Speaker, Teddy Pruett see pictures below.

Guild Birthday Party August 26, 2013

Happy Birthday to Common Threads Guild on August 26, 2013, which is the Monday night meeting.
We will be having a Pot Luck Dinner to celebrate.  So bring your favorite Pot Luck Casserole, Salad, Cold Salad (yum) or a simple dessert.

We are having a contest for the best Pot Holder with Prizes.  The pot holders must be quilted using cotton fabric and batting or Insul Bright ( can be bought at Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's or Sewn with Luv).
Some themes to think about are Best Food Theme, Cutest, Best Kitchen Theme, Most Practical and Best Non Kitchen Theme. You can make two Pot Holders and donate one to the Chinese Auction in November.

We will have a brief Trunk Show from Dana, owner of Southern Stitches Quilt Store, and she will tell us about her love for quilts . Dana was recently kind enough to let us sell opportunity quilt raffle tickets during Shop Hop at her new shop in Thomaston, Ga.

I hope you are as excited as I am to eat good food, see lots of Pot Holders to be judged, and hear a great speaker.  Oh yeah and just have fun(and eat and have more fun!!)

Christmas in July Program July 22, 2013

Holy Smokes!!!!  We are six months from Christmas.  Are you prepared?  How about coming to our July meeting where we will have brave members sharing ideas for gifts and decorations for the holidays.  Everyone who attends will go home with a Christmas gift from our guild.  Now, you can't beat that.  Hope to see you on Monday night at the church.

Lots of Show and Tell pictures from older meetings,  click here!

We try to keep as many as we can for reference, but have space limitations.
