Welcome spring. We can start getting outside to see sunshine, sprouting flowers and the beautiful dogwood trees. Of course in Georgia this means the start of allergy season. So do we stay in our sewing rooms and just sew fabric that has flowers on it, or do we venture out to see them in person? Spring makes me want to buy yellow and green fabric. These are not my colors usually, still I am drawn to them since they are so cheerful.
I would like to present a challenge to our members to make 100 burp cloths out of flannel. These would go to the Coweta Pregnancy center. You can download templates for making these from the internet. They are fast and simple to make. Mills Chapel Baptist Church has a mission to support the center. We have always helped support them in this goal.
We will continue to have Zoom meetings for the guilds programs on the 4th Monday of the Month.
We are able to reopen the Thursday Friendship group at the church. If you are interested in starting this back up, let me know.
So far the Christmas Fair has not been cancelled yet. At this time we do not know if this event will be scheduled for November. We can still make small items to sell and hold on to them to see what happens..
